Mentors

Mentor Program

Many of the students that the Hopkin Foundation works with are either the first in their family to attend college or are not completely familiar with the expectations and demands of a college education. A crucial part to our students’ success is the help and guidance they receive from their mentors

Our mentors are primarily responsible for guiding students through important tasks, working with students to create goals and monitoring the students’ progress through regular communication. Specific tasks they will complete with the students include identifying a major of study, creating a graduation plan, encouraging and helping students to acquire relevant work experience, and monitoring the academic progress of the student.

Get Involved

We invite members of the community who have shown an ability to successfully navigate their own education and career to partner with us as volunteer mentors. We will work with you to determine your preferred level of involvement but ask that our mentors dedicate at least 1 hour per week.
